We offer glass-inspired activities such as glassblowing, glass shows and guided tours – but also outdoor activities in the beautiful Småland forests.

Design your own glass

Kosta Glasbruk was founded in 1742. The art of glassblowing continues to this day and now you have the chance to try out this noble craft.

You shape the 1100-degree-hot mass with a wooden block and wet newspaper, blow through the pipe and ”drive” out the future masterpiece. Once finished, the glasses are placed in the annealing oven to cool until the next day when your creations are delivered. You can choose to blow a bauble, a glass, a bowl, a carafe or a vase.

Guided tour of the ironworks

During a visit to the glassworks, you will experience genuine craftsmanship. Take part in a truly unique experience and see the glowing hot glass transform into fragile crystal or a robust bowl. The guided tour starts with an introduction in the exhibition hall, where you can also see some of the fantastic pieces created in the workshops over the years.

Guided tour of the Glass Hotel

Kosta Boda Art Hotel is an award-winning design hotel and arguably the world’s largest showroom for glass. Kosta Boda's designers, alongside architects and designers, have created the hotel, and you will move through wildly differing environments with one common denominator – there is beautiful art around every corner. Would you like to know how much the Glass Bar weighs, how many glass droplets there are in the entrance chandelier, or why there are orange armchairs in the lobby? Following a guided tour of the hotel, you will have the answers to these questions and much more.

Sparkling wine tasting

Never before have we drunk so much fizz and so many different kinds of fizz.
We encounter bubbles from the major countries and of course we finish by tasting genuine Champagne. During the tasting we sample the following: Prosecco, Cava, Champagne. 4 glasses are included.

Champagne tasting

We at Kosta Boda Art Hotel just love Champagne, so we say like Coco Chanel: ”I only drink Champagne on two occasions, when I am in love and when I am not”. Our sommelier guide will lead you through the magical world of bubbles! Taste several varieties and learn more about the region, the grapes and the process in a relaxed atmosphere.

Wine tasting

There are approximately 2,000 grape varieties for wine production around the world; pause for a moment and focus on your senses of taste and smell.

We taste wines from different regions in Italy, led by our sommelier who will guide you through the tasting; see below for suggestions of different tastings:

Gin tasting

The tasting is held at our distillery, where we tell the story of the journey from idea to reality—how did someone come up with the thought of producing one of the world's most famous spirits in Kosta, Småland?
Led by our experienced tasting manager, you will get to try three different types of gin, with and without tonic, and we will learn more about gin-making and gin in general.

Beer tasting

Step into the wonderful world of beer

At a beer tasting at Kosta Brewery, your taste buds are guaranteed to experience a sensation of new impressions.
We try 4 different beers from our range and go through them together while talking about the process of how beer is made.

PS. Many are often impressed by what we call the ”miracle of beer”. I.e., how can thousands of flavours come from just four simple ingredients like hops, malt, yeast and water?

Combined Gin and Beer Tasting

A combined tasting, where we test our beer and gin assortment.
A tasting where we delve a little deeper and get to taste a large part of our range, we taste 3 different types of beer and 2 types of gin with and without tonic.

While we go through the various manufacturing methods for each beverage.

Welcome to an activity where it's all about thinking outside the box! Bring the ability to collaborate within the group and solve problems. Wonderful laughs and a fun time together are key words! With inspiration from the TV show of the same name, competitions are carried out in teams and conclude in a thrilling final.

Champions of Champions

A developing and fun team competition where participants try out events inspired by the TV success. This wonderful mix of challenges places demands on the group's teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills. The challenges are carried out in teams and the final is decided in a thrilling night duel between the two best teams.

Get the Point – The Ultimate Race

Point hunting in Kosta. Get the Point is a competition and an adventure that takes you out into the surroundings of the Kosta Boda Art Hotel. Using iPads, teams navigate their way to specified locations. Once the team is in the correct zone, they are faced with a challenge or question. The activity also includes time-limited missions and penalty zones, which result in point deductions. The challenges are guaranteed to be Google-free – genuine teamwork is required to arrive at the solutions. The questions can be tailored to the location, the conference theme, or other company-specific information. The more difficult the task or the more inaccessible the location, the higher the points.

Backpacker

This travelling teambuilding activity focuses on energy, joy and community. In Backpacker, the teams visit various countries and are offered jobs to earn money. The jobs involve challenging competitions that place demands on the group's cooperation, communication and problem-solving skills. The teams with the most money in their wallets at the end of the journey fight it out for the title of ”Backpacker of the Year” in the exciting final.

Jeopardy

We are taking the classic game of Jeopardy to a new level! Here, we mix practical exercises with everything from knowledge about your organisation to general knowledge. Who excels at lyrics and who has a grip on the company's vision? The activity includes everyone in the group and is inspired by various knowledge quizzes. The competition is carried out in teams.

TV show

Drawing inspiration from various TV game shows such as Taskmaster, Antiques Roadtrip and På spåret, the group's ability to collaborate and solve problems is put to the test. The TV Show is carried out in teams and concludes with a grand final between the two best teams. Whether it is a group that loves to compete or if you are looking for a light-hearted way to have fun together, we can promise that the TV Show is a popular activity.

Music quiz

Our experienced quizmaster has extensive experience in hosting and creating music quizzes for both restaurants and various corporate events. The quizmaster brings both joy and energy to all participants, and the music quizzes are carefully crafted. The music quiz is varied and spans multiple genres, ensuring that everyone feels involved and can contribute. It is appreciated and fun, and something for everyone!

The Treasure Chest Adventure

The Treasure Chest Adventure is a captivating entertainment experience for 10-150 players simultaneously. The treasure chests are identical and packed with tricky puzzles, codes and clues that challenge the group's creative ability, where you must use cunning, teamwork and communication to complete the challenge.
The activity, which is both fast-paced and exciting, is tied together by a game master. We provide the first and last prizes

The Game

Classic problem-solving with something for everyone. In The Game, teams must solve eight different challenges such as riddles, crosswords, matchmaking, and hands-on construction. The activity requires everything from general knowledge to problem-solving and teamwork skills. It is an engaging activity that brings the team together and delivers both happy and frustrated faces.

Crayfish fishing

Crayfish fishing with a guide. Crayfish party at the Wilderness Camp including a drinks package with two beers and two snaps.

Kosta Safaripark

Safari

In the large enclosure at Kosta Safaripark, you will be able to get really close to the wild animals in their natural environment. Meet European bison, deer, mouflon sheep and wild boar up close. At Kosta Safaripark, you can experience forest-dwelling animals up close. Take your car through the park and see the animals roaming freely in their natural environment. Guided tours with the park's gamekeepers are offered every day.

Fiske

Småland is an angler's paradise and the waterways around Kosta offer some very exciting fishing. We can help you book crayfish fishing, catch rainbow trout, or recommend some beautiful lakes in the local area.
