On selected Fridays and Saturdays, there is musical entertainment in the Glass Bar. Friday 28 August, Saturday 26 September and Friday 30 October at around 21:30, 2Trubadurer will be playing in the Glass Bar, offering great live music to extend the evening.

A unique glass-inspired underwater environment.

The hotel's natural focal point, centred around the 3.5-tonne cobalt-blue glass bar. Kosta Boda designer Kjell Engman has created a unique environment featuring glass fish swimming in water, table lamps designed as large bottles and beautiful glass stalactites hanging sparkling from the ceiling. Here you can take a seat on a heated and illuminated glass chair while enjoying a drink in one of Orrefors' beautiful crystal glasses and order a bite to eat from the bar menu. Designer

Kjell Engman

The Glass Bar was created by designer Kjell Engman, who came to Kosta from Stockholm back in 1978. Kjell has done a lot of diving, and that is where the inspiration for the Glass Bar came from.

– The idea is that it should feel like being underwater when you are here. When you dive and look up, the surface of the water feels like a mirror. That is why the ceiling is chromed and undulating.
